FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - From what most of our site visitors tell us you should be able to find answers to most if not all of your questions from reading this page and making use of our updated/expanded navigation links on top or bottom of each page on our web site. Should I have missed anything please feel free to contact us by phone or email. Email is generally answered within a few hours, but NEVER more than 24 hours passes before I respond.

Are The Cottages Air-Conditioned?   The days are pretty mild here, nights cool.  The ceiling fans seem to be just fine. For 2012 we are putting a/c in 2, 5, 9 & 10.

Are You On a Lake or River?  Do You Have a Pool?

   No. Saco River access is less than 5 minutes from us; Echo Lake is approx. 15 minutes from us.

How Close Are You To Storyland?

   10 minutes.

Do You Allow Pets?

 

   In consideration of all our guests, pets are not permitted on the premises. This policy is strictly enforced regardless of leashes, crates, pet size, etc.

Do We Need To Bring Sheets, Towels or Blankets?

 

   We provide all of your bed & bath linens. If you think you may make use of the River or area Lakes, please bring your own beach towels.

Are The Cottages Heated?

 

   Absolutely! You will find them toasty warm inside, even when it's very cold outside.

What Are The Office/Store Hours?

 

   They vary seasonally but we answer the phones from 9 am until 9 pm.

Do The COTTAGES Have Their Own Fire Ring?  How about the campsites?

 

  

There are 2 community fire rings shared by all the COTTAGES. They get quite a bit of use & have seemed to facilitate a lot of new friendships & good times.  Each CAMPSITE has it's own fire ring.

How Early/Late Can We Check In?

 

   Check In is from 3 PM - 8 PM This allows our housekeepers sufficient time to prepare the cottages to our stringent standards. Late arrivals require prior arrangement.

We Are A Family of 8, Do You Have A Single Cottage That Can Accommodate All Of Us?

 

   The MAXIMUM family size we can accommodate in a single cottage is 6. The MAXIMUM sleeping capacity of each cabin is stated in it's description.

What's There To Do In The Area?

 

   The list is so long I suggest you check out our Stuff To Do page. No matter your age, ability, or interests, the is Something for Everyone.

Do The Cottages Have Fireplaces?

 

   No. Our cottages are Circa 1933, we believe part of the reason they have survived the years is the fact that they do not have fireplaces.
